Il borgo
Lecchi è un pittoresco, piccolo, borgo che mantiene ancora le caratteristiche del tipico villaggio rurale toscano, con la chiesetta da un lato e la villa padronale dall'altro. Arroccato su una collina domina la bellissima campagna circostante ed è ancora abitato in prevalenza da famiglie originarie del borgo, tutte più o meno imparentate tra loro.
I dintorni
A circa 2 km da Lecchi si trova Staggia Senese con un bellessimo castello, visitabile, e la parte antica del paese, recentemente restaurata. Inoltre a Staggia si possono trovare supermarket, bar e ristoranti.
A circa 5 km da Lecchi si trova la cittadina di Poggibonsi con un' ampia scelta di supermarket, ristoranti ed alcuni interessanti scavi archeologici.
Come raggiungerci
Lecchi è facilmente raggiungibile in auto da Firenze e da Siena:
- uscita Poggibonsi Centro della Siena-Firenze e poi SP130 per 5 km
oppure
- uscita Colle val d'Elsa Nord della Siena-Firenze e poi SR2 per 7 km
oppure
- uscita Colle val d'Elsa Sud della Siena-Firenze e poi Strada Provinciale del Castello di Staggia per 4 km.
E' preferibile spostarsi in auto perché nella zona ci sono molti, bellissimi, piccoli borghi, castelli e chiese sparsi nella campagna.
Per visitare le città come Firenze, Siena, Sangimignano e Certaldo è più comodo raggiungere in auto la Stazione di Poggibonsi e proseguire in treno o in autobus.
Presso gli aeroporti di Firenze e Pisa è facilmente noleggiabile un'autovettura.
The village
Lecchi is a small picturesque village that still retains the characteristics of the typical rural Tuscan village, with a church on one side and the manor house on the other. Perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful surrounding countryside and is still mainly inhabited by families from the village, all more or less related to each other.
The surroundings
At about 2 km from Lecchi there is Staggia Senese with a beautyful castle easily visited, and the old part of the town, recently restored. In addition to Staggia you can find supermarkets, bars and restaurants.
At about 5 km from Lecchi is the town of Poggibonsi with a wide selection of supermarkets, restaurants and an interesting archaeological site.
How to reach us
Lecchi is easily accessible by car from Florence and Siena:
- Exit Poggibonsi Centro of Siena-Florence and then SP130 5 km
or
- Exit Colle Val d'Elsa Nord of Siena-Florence and then SR2 for 7 km
or
- Exit Colle val d'Elsa Sud of the Siena-Firenze and then Strada Provinciale del Castello di Staggia for 4 km.
It's better to travel by car because there are many, beautiful, small villages, castles and churches, in the aerea, scattered throughout the countryside.
For towns such as Florence, Siena, Certaldo and Sangimignano it is more convenient to drive to the station Poggibonsi and take the train or bus.
At the airports of Florence and Pisa is easily rented car.
